Stacking Chair, Solid Ash

Designed in 1957, the Stacking Chair by Ercol is a symbol of mid-century modern design. This dining chair features outward facing tapered legs, allowing the chairs to be stacked vertically when not in use. Combining versatility with elegance, the curved horizontal seat back provides a supportive sit, whilst the gently moulded seat provides optimum comfort for dining.

A feature of this dining chair is the classic Windsor wedge joint, whereby the leg traverses directly through the seat; a wedge is then inserted into the leg, forming a remarkably strong unity. This distinctive joint has become an integral element of the design. Crafted from solid hardwood with a clear matte lacquer, highlighting the natural grain of the wood. The Originals Stacking Chair is designed to stand the test of time, becoming part of the home for generations.
