A contemporary chair with a design that is both subtle and comfortable, Ettoriano exudes sleek minimalism. Its base is available in steel or chrome, and the body is crafted from a fluid, all-enveloping one-piece moulded shell. Its elegantly carved form is acknowledged with its name. It features soft, sculptural curves that form a generous, ergonomically formed seat, intended to hug the body. The feeling of comfort achieved by its welcoming form are reinforced by its felt surface, completing a chair that has been designed to achieve comfort at every level without comprising on style. The lines of the moulded felt shell form two flared armrests which offer excellent support to the forearms. Moreover, PET felt is an ecological material crafted from recycled plastic bottles.

Designed for Ligne Roset by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci. The duo first met at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence and in 1983 they founded Archirivolto in Colle Val DElsa. Since 1989 this design house, set against the backdrop of the romantic Tuscan countryside around Sienna, has concentrated almost exclusively on industrial design. They believe that real innovation today is incontrovertibly linked to the use of technology and materials. For them, technology does not exist to create an image, but to service the consumer, enabling the creation of products that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and exquisitely comfortable. 

Specifications: Base crafted from chromed or sanded / textured anthracite lacquered steel. Its moulded seat / back shell is crafted from 12mm thick grey PET obtained by pressing together 3 layers of 10 mm thick felt (150 g/m ²).

There are optional seat cushions available filled with high resilience polyurethane foam and polyester quilting. Cushion cover is removable. It is possible to choose a colour for the cushion with matches the tones of the shell and base, or in a contrasting colour for added dynamism.
