Inspired by a time-honoured technique found in the fashion industry, the Plissé Kettle is defined by its sculptural folds. Designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi, this electric kettle is very much a piece of art as well as an everyday practical kitchen accessory. This timeless design is made from thermoplastic resin and is available in grey, black green or white.

Wobble?

Hello, I have just purchased this kettle, and as much as I do like the design and looks, I’m confused as to why the kettle ‘wobbles’ when it is on the base. Is this normal, as it does not seems secure as other kettles, can anyone tell me if theirs is also un-secure/wobbles please.

Not the look I was hoping for

So it's a kettle and it does what I need it to do - but out in the kitchen it doesn't look as good as I hoped. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see before I purchased online. If I had I would have gone for something else I'm sure. The matt finish is fine and the design is good but it looks so plasticky (apologies - appreciate this isn't a word but the best way I can describe). The lid opening feels a bit flimsy and the plastic boil switch looks a tad cheap. I bought to replace the Stelton Emma kettle so I like a good looking kitchen product but this doesn't do it for me. If you can, try and view it before you buy.
