Biplan is a compact auxiliary wooden shelf designed by Atelier BL 119 for Ligne Roset. With a streamlined, interlocking grid formation and a shallow depth, Biplan is made to display decorative objects or accommodate a collection of books. Inspired by the integral metallic structures of industrial buildings, the interwoven form references architecture with its geometric shapes.
Combining a streamlined and visually light aesthetic the Biplan storage seems to float with its suspended surfaces. The wall-mounted frame in solid American walnut is finished with natural varnish and completed with grey lacquered MDF shelves.
