Exuding a timeless aesthetic, the CM 131 dining chair designed by Pierre Paulin in 1953 has become a design classic. Featuring an uncomplicated form this streamlined dining chair fits seamlessly into both modern and contemporary interiors. Its dark brown-stained resin shell features a gloss finish. Moulded from press beech multiply, the CM 131 chair has been ergonomically formed to ensure optimum comfort. Its base is crafted from black lacquered steel and finished with protective tips on the feet.
Designed for Ligne Roset by Pierre Paulin. Born in Paris in 1927, he first made his name in the design and installation scene in the 50s. He brought modernity to the Elysée Palace for President Pompidou in 1971 and designed the entirety of the furniture for the official office of Francois Mitterrand. He founded ADSA with two colleagues, embarking on industrial projects, brand image and fitting-out railway stations.
