Aria Journal:
Dine with design
On the evening of Thursday 13th October we transformed our Barnsbury Hall showroom into a pop-up restaurant for another successful Aria After Hours event.
This event celebrated the launch of a new Tom Dixon product collection and to raise awareness of their recent collaboration with social enterprise, Goldfinger Factory.
As guests arrived, we welcomed them to view the collection showcased our window display, curated by the creative teams of Aria and Tom Dixon. The display exhibited an eclectic range of the latest modern designs by Tom Dixon, including their renown ‘melt’ pendant lighting and one-off furniture made in collaboration with Goldfinger Factory.
Guests were then invited to take a seat as we served up four courses of culinary delights provided by esteemed chef Elaine Chambers. The local, seasonal, sustainable and slightly quirky menu was inspired by dishes from her East-London restaurant A Little Of What You Fancy . Each dish showcased the originality and flavour of modern British cuisine; served on timeless crockery designs by Iittala.
The evening concluded with a short presentation by the Tom Dixon and Goldfinger Team. They gave our guests a unique insight on the design of the products and intriguing back story of their brand. Guests were welcomed to partake in a question and answer session before we wrapped-up the evening with servings of wine and cheese. As the evening drew to a close, we presented each guest with a gift bag featuring a Tom Dixon etch tea light holder and accessories from Goldfinger Factory.
